Maison Volcan
After many discussions about the purpose of our work as designers and our desire to engage with our communities, we founded Maison Volcan with Lou and Manu.
We began the project by organizing a workshop for children living in a foster home, teaching them how to communicate and be understood through graphics and images. This one-week initiative aimed to empower teenagers to express themselves and stand up for who they are, by showing them that symbols and graphic elements can be both accessible and impactful tools for communication.
Since then, we’ve led multiple workshops and have gained significant insights into political engagement, pedagogy, and even graphic design itself.
En Chantier
Public creative workshop
In this workshop, we invited teenagers in a children’s shelter to create signage for their temporary home.
Given their frequent transitions—from one room to another, one section to another, or one floor to another—we realized they lacked a special space where they could say, “This place is my special place.” To address this, we worked with them to create personalized flags they could place on their bedroom doors. Together, we also designed flags for the public areas of the shelter.

Super Positions
Public creative workshop
Super Positions was a workshop held in the Super Galerie—a nomadic contemporary art gallery—during the Bam! Festival at TU Nantes. The public was invited to create their own posters for their dream exhibition using a "manual Photoshop".
Participants, acting as apprentice graphic designers, worked with various types of paper, fonts, a light table, a camera, and their creativity. By layering and superposing elements, they designed posters in line with the Super Galerie’s visual guidelines. This hands-on and eclectic workshop offered a unique opportunity to educate a diverse audience about crafting readable messages while balancing creativity and clarity.

Spot
Creative urbanism studies
During the public festival SPOT, we invited participants to put on paper something they wished to see in the city of Nantes. We created a fictional architecture office where the public became the architects, drawing their own plans.
As we collected numerous designs on carbon paper, our exhibition grew organically. Each participant contributed their vision and went home with another person’s idea in exchange, fostering a sense of shared creativity. By the end, we had gathered 200 ideas and decided to compile them into a book—which is still in progress.
